Distal end cutter is a common instrument used in intra-oral cutting. It’s used in cutting the terminal end of a ligated arch wire. The cutter has two cutting surface at the right angles to the long axis of the instrument. It’s easy to hold the cut end of arch wire. This prevents the loose end of the wire injuring the patient.
